REGISTRATIONS CLOSED ON 31 OCTOBER 2019.
IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT YOU READ THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION CAREFULLY
Redhead SLSC requires online registration for new and renewing members, including the payment of fees. This allows the registration process to be quicker for you and completed in a timely manner.

All registrations and payment of fees must be completed by 31st October 2019 at 5pm. No exceptions due to proficiencies and deadlines set by Surf Lifesaving NSW.

Existing Junior Members

New Junior Members
Important message for nippers turning five years old in October.
For children that turn five between the 1st of October and the 31st October, they may not register and cannot start nippers until their 5th birthday. These children will then have to repeat the Under 6 group the following year so that they then align with children in their correct age group. Please ensure that you understand this if registering an Under 6 nipper in October as this is a Surf Lifesaving NSW requirement and we must adhere to this rule. If repeating Under 6s will be an issue, it may be best to hold back your nipper to start in the following year.
ALL new members MUST supply a copy of their birth certificate to confirm age category to the registrar.
ALL junior (nipper) members MUST complete the required nipper’s proficiency standards in order to participate in water activities on beach days and to enter carnivals.
For the 2019/20 season junior registration fees are:
- U6 & U7 – $65
- U8 to U14 – $80
Payment of fees to be made through online payment during the online registration process.
There is a $30 competitor levy for nippers in age groups U8-U14 who wish to compete in carnivals throughout the season. The levy must be paid before a nipper will be entered into a carnival.
Nippers are required to wear skull caps and hi-vis pink singlets as per SLSA requirements. These along with a range of club clothing can be purchased from the club. Please contact our clothing co-ordinator for further information.

Junior (Nipper) Parent Requirement
It is a requirement of Redhead SLSC that at least one parent or carer per family must join the club. By joining the Club a parent/ carer is then able to actively assist in activities. The cost for a parent registration is $60. This will cover insurances, allow you to use club facilities etc. For members who are active in patrols and competition please see the Senior member registration information.
The Nipper parent joining Redhead SLSC MUST complete the online registration. Unless fully completed the registration cannot be finalised and therefore will result in delays.
PLEASE NOTE: in order for your registration to be considered complete you MUST have done the following:
- Completed an online registration
- Payment of fees
- Provided a copy of ID
- You will complete a Member Protection Declaration as part of the online registration process. Remember to click on the link, read and agree.
- You may need to provide a copy of your Working With Children Check (WWCC). Those members who work with children need to complete a WWC. Check here to find out if you need a check. If you supply a current check it MUST state ‘Valid for unpaid work”.
PLEASE NOTE: Redhead SLSC takes its responsibilities for safeguarding children seriously. We have a number of processes in place, one being all members 18 years and over are to supply a current Working with Children Number (WWC).

When completing the online registration, ensure that you follow the directions provided in the diagram in the link above. In order to complete your registration correctly note the following points:
- Ensure that all sections are completed
- In the ‘Category’ drop down box select ‘General’
- Emergency contact section must include phone numbers, name and relationship. DO NOT PUT YOUR OWN DETAILS IN THIS SECTION.
- Registration Fees will be paid as part of the online registration process
- Nipper parent registration must be completed prior to 31 October for the participating season

Cancellation of membership and refunds
Any request for the cancellation of club membership and refund of fees will be considered by the senior club committee on a case by case basis. If granted the refund will incur a $15 processing fee per membership.
Refunds after the 31st of October will not be considered.
